Not every day is good - But we can find some good in every day

Thanksgiving is a day to profess
Our gratitude for our blessings.
This year there are many people hurting,
The economy is the lowest it's been
Since the big depression of the 30's.
We're still in a war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Still losing husbands, wives, sons, daughters,
Mothers and fathers, brothers, sisters and friends.
Millions of jobs have been lost and
We've seen more disasters happening
Throughout the world in recent years.
Some might wonder what we have to be thankful about.
You only have to look around to see the blessings we have.
We are free to choose how and where we want to live,
To believe in what we choose to believe
To follow our own hearts wherever they may lead.
We have freedom of speech… freedom to choose our friends,
Freedom to attend whatever religious services we prefer,
And the freedom to make our own choices
I am thankful not only for my family and friends
But the family and friends I was blessed with
Who are are no longer here.
I am thankful for a life of cherished memories
For being able to look forward to tomorrow,
And for God's precious gift of today.
I am grateful for every day of this life,
Here, in America, where freedom reigns.
